NBQ Compliance With PCI DSS
National Bank of Umm Al- Qaiwain ((NBQ) has achieved compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which aims to secure card transactions against data theft and fraud.
National Bank of Umm Al-Qaiwain (NBQ), established on 5th January 1982, provides retail and corporate banking services through its network of branches in UAE.
NBQ has added another feather in its cap and has attained the PCI DSS certification through an independent assessment by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) - SISA.
PCI DSS is a set of security standards developed for organizations that store, process, or transmit cardholder’s data and it is highly governed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).
PCI DSS certification is one of the most strict and comprehensive payment security certification standards in the world which has now been achieved by NBQ.
The achieved PCI DSS certification underlies the bank’s commitment to provide safe and secure banking services to all its customers.
“Privacy protection and payment security are among the key areas that NBQ attach great importance to. PCI DSS certification represents an important milestone for payment security in our core operations,” said Mr. Adnan Al Awadhi, CEO, National Bank of Umm Al-Qaiwain.
