NBQ Reinforces Community Commitment Following Heavy Rains

National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain (NBQ) has reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare and sustainable development through a swift initiative in support of Umm Al Quwain Municipality, following the heavy rains that affected parts of the emirate recently.
As a responsible financial institution, NBQ coordinated with Umm Al Quwain Municipality to support urgent rainwater removal efforts in impacted areas. As part of this initiative, NBQ deployed high-capacity 10,000-gallon water tankers, working closely with Municipality’s teams to ensure effective and timely execution.
The initiative involved 200 dedicated tanker trips, with operations carefully monitored to maximize efficiency and accelerate the removal of accumulated rainwater. The coordinated effort contributed significantly to mitigating the impact on affected communities and restoring normal conditions in a timely manner.
These efforts further underscored the Bank’s readiness to mobilise resources quickly in support of public authorities and community needs. NBQ’s continued collaboration with Umm Al Quwain Municipality and other local entities reflects its longstanding commitment to social responsibility, emergency preparedness, and contributing positively to the resilience and well-being of the communities it serves.
This latest initiative builds on NBQ’s proven track record of supporting the emirate during critical situations. In April 2024, under similar management directives, NBQ partnered with Umm Al Quwain Municipality, completing 502 trips using a fleet of 5,000 and 10,000-gallon tankers.
